Spring Park News

The main topic of conservation these days is the weather. After such a cold spell, this weather we are now having is grand. Let's hope it continues.

The community bingo last Saturday evening was very well attended with the lucky ones going home with good prizes. A few of our gems enjoyed card games. The ladies served lunch and coffee after the Bingo.

On January 13th the community is having a Valentine Party at the Hall. Let's hope the weather and roads are good. The community donated $25.00 to The Polio fund.

The Ladies February meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Geo. Smith. Almost all the members were present to happily receive pot holders from their mystery sisters for Valentines. We also played Penny Bingo and won lovely little gifts. Mrs. Edna Darling won the hostess prize.

Lawrence Swanson and Vic Scott left for Saskatchewan where they will operate a brush cutting outfit for Frank Keitges.

Mr. E. Lepine from Mallaig has his big brush cutting outfit in this district. Felix Gusjolko, Bob Brown and Lloyd Darling all got some brushing done. They really do a wonderful job. Mr. Lepine will be back in the spring to pile brush and break land.
